So now, we can go back to the topic, when ammonia comes in contact with the heated piece of work then it separates nitrogen and hydrogen. After that, nitrogen spreads on to the surface of the material that creates a nitride layer. Normal people like you maybe not aware of the fact that this specific procedure has existed for more than a century. Even though, it was only in few decades’ time, there has been a constant and concentrated effort to examine the involvement of thermodynamics and kinetics. Some fresh and recent developments have led to a new kind of process that can be precisely controlled. The first and foremost benefit is that large batch sizes are possible that simply means that limiting factor being the furnace size and flow of the gas.

Now as far as Plasma Nitriding is concerned, it is an industrial surface hardening treatment for all metallic materials. Normally, steels are treated by using plasma nitriding and plasma nitriding equipment such as vacuum chamber, pulsed plasma generator, system controller and vacuum system.
